And Moses (Mosheh) with the elders of Yisrael commanded the people, saying: “Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.
And it shall be on the day when you shall pass over Jordan (Yarden) unto the land which יהוה your God (Elohim) giveth you, that you shalt set you up great stones, and plaister them with plaister.
And you shalt write upon them all the words of this law (torah), when you are passed over, that you mayest go in unto the land which יהוה your God (Elohim) giveth you, ‘a land that floweth with milk and honey’, as יהוה God (Elohim) of your fathers hath promised you.
Therefore it shall be when you be gone over Jordan (Yarden), that you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and you shalt plaister them with plaister.
And there shalt you build an altar unto יהוה your God (Elohim), an altar of stones; you shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
You shalt build the altar of יהוה your God (Elohim) of whole stones; and you shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto יהוה your God (Elohim).
And you shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before יהוה your God (Elohim).
And you shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law (torah) very plainly.
And Moses (Mosheh) and the priests (kohanim) the Levites (Lewiyim) spake unto all Yisrael, saying, “Take heed, and hearken, O Yisrael: This day you are become the people of יהוה your God (Elohim).
You shalt therefore obey the voice of יהוה your God (Elohim), and do His commandments and His statutes, which I command you this day.”
And Moses (Mosheh) charged the people the same day, saying,
‘These shall stand upon Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you are come over Jordan (Yarden): Shimon, and Lewi, and Judah (Yehudah), and Yissaskhar, and Joseph (Yosef), and Binyamin;
And these shall stand upon Mount Ebal to curse: Reuven, Gad, and Asher, and Zevulun, Dan, and Naftali.
And the Levites (Lewiyim) shall speak, and say unto all the men of Yisrael with a loud voice:
‘Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto יהוה, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place.’ And all the people shall answer and say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
‘Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
‘Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour’s landmark.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
‘Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
‘Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
Cursed be he that lieth with his father’s wife; because he uncovereth his father’s skirt.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
‘Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
‘Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
‘Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
‘Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this Torah to do them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘So be it (Amen)!’
