Jeremiah 45

The word that Jeremiah (Yirmeyahu) the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriyah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah (Yirmeyahu), in the fourth year of Yehoyaqim the son of Josiah (Yoshiyahu) king of Judah (Yehudah), saying,

“Thus saith יהוה, the God of Israel (Elohei Yisrael), unto you, O Baruch:

You didst say, “Woe is me now! For יהוה hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.”’

Thus shalt you say unto him, יהוה saith thus: “Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

And seekest you great things for yourself? Seek them not; for, behold, I will bring disaster (raah) upon all flesh,” saith יהוה; “but your life will I give unto you for a prey in all places whither you goest.”’”
