Exodus 24

And He said unto Moses (Mosheh), “Come up unto יהוה, you, and Aaron (Aharon), Nadav, and Avihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisrael; and worship you afar off.

And Moses (Mosheh) alone shall come near יהוה; but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.”

And Moses (Mosheh) came and told the people all the words of יהוה, and all the judgments; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, “All the words which יהוה hath said will we do.”

And Moses (Mosheh) wrote all the words of יהוה, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Yisrael.

And he sent young men of the children of Yisrael, who offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto יהוה.

And Moses (Mosheh) took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

And he took the Book of the Covenant (Sefer haBerith), and read in the audience of the people; and they said, “All that יהוה hath said will we do, and be obedient.”

And Moses (Mosheh) took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant, which יהוה hath made with you concerning all these words.”

Then went up Moses (Mosheh), and Aaron (Aharon), Nadav, and Avihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisrael;

And they saw the God of Israel (Elohei Yisrael); and there was under His feet as it was a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it was the body of heaven in its clearness.

And upon the nobles of the children of Yisrael He laid not His hand; also they saw God (Elohim), and did eat and drink.

And יהוה said unto Moses (Mosheh), “Come up to Me into the mountain, and be there; and I will give you tables of stone with the 28a Law (Torah) and the commandments (mitswot) which I have written; that you mayest teach them.”

And Moses (Mosheh) rose up, and his minister Joshua (Yehoshua); and Moses (Mosheh) went up into the mountain of God (Elohim).

And he said unto the elders, “Tarry you here for us, until we come again unto you. And, behold, Aaron (Aharon) and Hur are with you; if any man has any matters to do, let him come unto them.”

And Moses (Mosheh) went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain.

And the glory of יהוה abode upon Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and the seventh day He called unto Moses (Mosheh) out of the midst of the cloud.

And the sight of the glory of יהוה was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Yisrael.

And Moses (Mosheh) went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mountain; and Moses (Mosheh) was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
