Exodus 3

Now Moses (Mosheh) kept the flock of Yetro his father in law, the priest (kohen) of Midian; and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God (Elohim), even to Horeb (Chorev).

And the angel of יהוה appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

And Moses (Mosheh) said, “I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.”

And when יהוה saw that he turned aside to see, God (Elohim) called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, “Moses, Moses (Mosheh).” And he said, “Here am I.”

And He said, “Draw not near hither; put off your shoes from off your feet, for the place whereon you standest is holy ground.”

Moreover He said, “I am the God (Elohim) of your father, the God (Elohim) of Avraham, the God (Elohim) of Isaac (Yitschaq), and the God (Elohim) of Jacob (Yaaqov).” And Moses (Mosheh) hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God (Elohim).

And יהוה said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt (Mitsrayim), and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians (Mitsrayim), and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites (Yevusi).

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Yisrael is come unto Me; and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians (Mitsrayim) oppress them.

Come now therefore, and I will send you unto Pharaoh (Paroh), that you mayest bring forth My people the children of Yisrael out of Egypt (Mitsrayim).”

And Moses (Mosheh) said unto God (Elohim), “Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh (Paroh), and that I should bring forth the children of Yisrael out of Egypt (Mitsrayim)?”

And He said, “Certainly I will be with you; and this shall be a token unto you, that I have sent you. When you have brought forth the people out of Egypt (Mitsrayim), you shall serve God (Elohim) upon this mountain.”

And Moses (Mosheh) said unto God (Elohim), “Behold, when I come unto the children of Yisrael, and shall say unto them, ‘The God (Elohim) of your fathers hath sent me unto you’; and they shall say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say unto them?”

And God (Elohim) said unto Moses (Mosheh), “15I Will Be Who I Will Be (Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh).” And He said, “Thus shalt you say unto the children of Yisrael, ‘16I AM (Ehyeh) hath sent me unto you.’”

And God (Elohim) said moreover unto Moses (Mosheh), “Thus shalt you say unto the children of Yisrael: “38יהוה God (Elohim) of your fathers, God (Elohim) of Avraham, God (Elohim) of Isaac (Yitschaq), and God (Elohim) of Jacob (Yaaqov), hath sent me unto you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.’

Go, and gather the elders of Yisrael together, and say unto them, ‘יהוה God (Elohim) of your fathers, God (Elohim) of Avraham, of Isaac (Yitschaq), and of Jacob (Yaaqov), appeared unto me, saying, “I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt (Mitsrayim):

And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt (Mitsrayim) unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites (Yevusi), unto a land flowing with milk and honey.”’

And they shall hearken to your voice; and you shalt come, you and the elders of Yisrael, unto the king of Egypt (Mitsrayim), and you shall say unto him, ‘יהוה God (Elohim) of the Hebrews (Ivrim) hath met with us; and now let us go, we beseech you, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to יהוה our God (Elohim).’

And I am sure that the king of Egypt (Mitsrayim) will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

And I will stretch out My hand, and smite Egypt (Mitsrayim) with all My wonders which I will do in the midst thereof; and after that he will let you go.

And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians (Mitsrayim); and it shall come to pass, that, when you go, you shall not go empty;

But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment; and you shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and you shall spoil the Egyptians (Mitsrayim).”
