Exodus 4

And Moses (Mosheh) answered and said, “But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice; for they will say, ‘יהוה hath not appeared unto you.’”

And יהוה said unto him, “What is that in your hand?” And he said, “A rod.”

And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses (Mosheh) fled from before it.

And יהוה said unto Moses (Mosheh), “Put forth your hand, and take it by the tail.” And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand;

That they may believe that יהוה God (Elohim) of their fathers, God (Elohim) of Avraham, God (Elohim) of Isaac (Yitschaq), and God (Elohim) of Jacob (Yaaqov), hath appeared unto you.

And יהוה said furthermore unto him, “Put now your hand into your bosom.” And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

And He said, “Put your hand into your bosom again.” And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe you, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

“And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto your voice, that you shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which you takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.”

And Moses (Mosheh) said unto יהוה, “O Lord (Adonai), I am not eloquent, neither before, nor since You have spoken unto your servant; but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.”

And יהוה said unto him, “Who hath made man’s mouth? Or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have not I יהוה?

Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shalt say.”

And he said, “O my Lord (Adonai), please send by the hand of him whom You wilt send.”

And the anger of יהוה was kindled against Moses (Mosheh), and He said, “Is not N31Aaron (Aharon) the Lewite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet you; and when he seeth you, he will be glad in his heart.

And you shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth; and I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do.

And he shall be your spokesman unto the people; and he shall be, even he shall be to you as a mouth, and you shalt be to him as God (Elohim).

And you shalt take this rod in your hand, wherewith you shalt do signs.”

And Moses (Mosheh) went and returned to Yetro his father in law, and said unto him, “Please let me go and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt (Mitsrayim), and see whether they be yet alive.” And Yetro said to Moses (Mosheh), “Go in peace.”

And יהוה said unto Moses (Mosheh) in Midian, “Go, return into Egypt (Mitsrayim); for all the men are dead who sought your life.”

And Moses (Mosheh) took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt (Mitsrayim); and Moses (Mosheh) took the rod of God (Elohim) in his hand.

And יהוה said unto Moses (Mosheh), “When you goest to return into Egypt (Mitsrayim), see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh (Paroh), which I have put in your hand; but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

And you shalt say unto Pharaoh (Paroh), ‘Thus saith יהוה, Yisrael is My son, even My firstborn;

And I say unto you, “Let My son go, that he may serve Me; and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn.”’”

And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that יהוה met him, and sought to kill him.

Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, “Surely a bloody husband are you to me.”

So He let him go; then she said, “A bloody husband you are, because of the circumcision!”

And יהוה said to Aaron (Aharon), “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses (Mosheh).” And he went, and met him in the mount of God (Elohim), and kissed him.

And Moses (Mosheh) told Aaron (Aharon) all the words of יהוה who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him.

And Moses (Mosheh) and Aaron (Aharon) went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Yisrael;

And Aaron (Aharon) spake all the words which יהוה had spoken unto Moses (Mosheh), and did the signs in the sight of the people.

And the people believed; and when they heard that יהוה had visited the children of Yisrael, and that He had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
